Self-Assessment for Nonprofit Boards

This Self-Assessment Kit provides:

  • A rationale for conducting a Board Self-Assessment
  • A process for conducting the Assessment
  • A Questionnaire for use by Board Members and the Executive Manager
  • Provision for customising questions for your particular organisation
  • A "How To" administer the Questionnaire
  • Recommendations for the tabulation and the interpretation of results

Governance & Management can also confidentially collate the results of your Questionnaires and provide a full colour Report for each Board Member which includes an Executive Summary and analysis of the results.

Assessment of the Chief Executive

This Assessment tool is an entry level tool for nonprofit boards who have not previously assessed their Chief Executive in a formal and systematic way. The Kit consists of:

  • A book which outlines a step-by-step guide to the complete Assessment process
  • Copies of a comprehensive Questionnaire which assesses ten areas of the Chief Executive's responsibilities
  • A disk disk containing the assessment instrument which enables you to adapt the Questionnaire to your specific needs
  • Information of conducting effective performance appraisals.
